Meeting Enzo for the First Time

When I met him, I could see he was unsure. The grooming salon was too much for him, and I did not want to push him into something that felt scary. So I went to his home instead, where he could feel calmer and safer.

His coat was one of the most matted coats I have come across. I wish I had taken photos before, but my priority was getting him comfortable. Sometimes grooming is not about creating a beautiful style. Sometimes it is about doing what is kindest for the dog.

So I shaved him short to remove the painful matting and give his skin and coat a fresh start.
